and got hurt from it again
it was not long ago that you said
love no more
and yet you still fall in
you choose to swim in the ocean
the ocean of the emotions that love brings
like waves that come and crush on you
some let you with scars and some just wash you off
some just make your pain grow more
while some help you sooth just a bit
it's the eternal martyr though
for those who choose to love
pain and love walk side by side
and to be able to break them apart
love must overcome and endure all the waves
love must stay still and get beaten up
stand up and light the way
like a lighthouse does for the ships
only then love will be real
only then pain will allow you love again
